Do you know the cost of keeping an electric fan on overnight?

In the hot summer, are you looking for a way which not only can save money, but also can keep your home cool? Although fans aren’t the only way you can cool you home, but maybe it is your best choice. Compared to air conditioning units, electrical fans use lower electricity than air conditioning. So how much cost of keeping an electrical fan on overnight?

For example, if you have a 50-watt fan, you would divide 50 by 1,000 to get 0.05. If you are using it for 8 hours one light, you’ll then multiply 0.05 by 8 giving you 0.4kW. This is how much energy the fan uses in a night.

To work out the cost, you will need to know how much you pay for one unit of energy (1kw). This should be listed on your energy bill.

Multiply the cost of a unit of energy by the kW output of your fan and that will be how much it is costing to run your fan one night.

So if the cost of one unit of energy is 8 cents, multiply this by 0.4kW and you’ll get 3.2 cents as the cost for running a 50watt fan for 8 hours. The  equation is: Cost=power(kilowatt) x time(hour) x cost of 1 kwh

Someone once estimated the cost for one air conditioning one night use approach to the sum of three electrical fans’ cost. What an amazing?

Varity of electric fans(such as stand fan, table fan, box fan, wall fan, ceiling fan and so on)are still one of the most common solutions for combating the heat, and majority of people will be willing to pay a lower price for comfort.
